BOOKS, DVDs, CDs & RECORDS

BOOKS: Use book boxes. Pack books upright standing on bottom edge, alternating bound edge to open edge. Do not press anything against the exposed edges that might damage pages.

Valuable books should be wrapped individually in unprinted news before placing in carton. Paperbacks can be packed flat or on edge. Boxes should be packed as fully and tightly as possible so they won't be crushed when stacked.

DVDs & CDs: Use book boxes. We recommend only half filling each box with DVDs or CDs as they are very heavy, denser than books. Bottom CDs should be placed on edge. DVDs can be stacked in rows in suitably padded boxes. The covers of CDs tend to crack so they should be wrapped in paper in groups of 4-6 before being placed in the box.

RECORDS: Use record boxes. Pack records on edge. Boxes should be packed as fully and tightly as possible so they won't be crushed when stacked.
